Several different figures appear across this catalog.
The GC-192-100 diesel flail lists a 200 m remote-control range. The H-800L-A heavy-duty tracked mower lists 300 m. The H-800L-D lists 500 m. These are published catalog values for different machines; do not assume the longest figure applies to an entire product category.
Among the 800 mm H-800L variants, A and D both list 16 HP gasoline power, but the D lists a 60° maximum gradient and 285 kg net weight, while A lists 45° and 245 kg. Selecting by remote range alone misses other relevant differences.
Plan where the operator can see and stand.
Note embankment edges, trees, buildings, dips and other features that can obstruct the view or signal. Divide a long site into safe operating zones with suitable standing points. Do not interpret a 500 m catalog rating as a recommendation to operate 500 m away or out of sight; read the manual and applicable local rules for the exact machine.
Ask how the figure was established.
Request the current manual, controller specification, failsafe behavior and operating instructions. Ask for a demonstration on comparable ground if range is an important purchase criterion. Interference, terrain, obstacles, antenna position and battery condition may change usable signal conditions. Document the layout rather than relying on a headline number.
Does a controller offered for one destination suit another?
Ask for the exact controller model, operating-frequency information and the documents applicable to your destination. A printed range figure does not confirm radio suitability for every country. Include the destination in the quotation and have the relevant requirements checked for the equipment actually supplied.
For unit comparison, 200, 300 and 500 m are approximately 656, 984 and 1,640 feet. Converting the figure does not extend the usable operating distance or remove the need for visibility and the exact manual’s instructions.
A map and work pattern are more useful than “long range.”
Give the length and shape of the site, preferred operator positions, vegetation, steepest sections and the exact candidate models. Ask for a written explanation of signal behavior and what happens when the connection is interrupted. Combine this with slope assessment and the model selection guide.
Need a model for a long site?
In the quick quote, describe the route and safe operating positions. Ask to compare the exact controller and mower configuration.
